Now retired, Dr. Fessler specialized in complex vascular abnormalities of the brain, neck and spinal cord for the treatment of aneurysms, carotid artery disease and stroke. He served as the Specialist-in-Chief of Neurosurgery at the Detroit Medical Center and Chief of Neurosurgery at DMC Detroit Receiving Hospital. He was formerly the Director of the Henry Ford St. John Providence Health System Stroke Network and Telemedicine Program. Dr. Fessler was the lead physician in the development of several statewide programs which provide state-of-the-art care to stroke and aneurysm patients.
